David Jerram

Managing Director

David consults for a number of agencies as their head of digital delivery and head of inbound marketing. He is highly experienced in tactical marketing solutions - including marketing automation, PPC and organic search optimisation.

David has two non-work-related passions; Austin Healey Sports Cars from the 1960’s (currently the collection numbers three Healey Sprites) – and deep wreck exploration.

David has explored shipwrecks all around the world, and likes nothing better than telling people all about it over a pint of Doom Bar.

David founded Jerram Digital Marketing in 2006, and is the firm’s Managing Director.  He enjoys business development and client relationships, alongside the creative direction of the business.

His previous career began over 30 years ago as a corporate designer and included a stint with Holmes and Marchant Brand and Packaging Design in Marlow – where he was introduced to the Aesthedes Design System – the grand-daddy of computer-based graphic design.

David also founded and ran Marlin Creative Media (later ‘Journey’) in Henley-on-Thames, working with branding expert and designer James Quartermaine.  David and James still collaborate on creative projects, delivering bespoke brand design combined with the very best digital delivery.

David has travelled all around the world exploring shipwrecks in far-flung places as well as discovering deeper wrecks in home waters around the south coast.  He has been lucky enough to explore the nuclear fleet wrecks of Bikini Atoll, HMS Prince-of-Wales and Repulse in the South China Sea – and the Grand Fleet Wrecks in Scapa Flow.

His biggest passion, however, is his family. He is very proud of his children, although they are now all grown up!


Currently assisting a cyber security form with on-site SEO planning, looking for quick wins and longer-term strategies for more competitive key word phrases. The Cyber security industry has really taken off, but there are still opportunities to gain good ranking for lucrative phrases. I really enjoy developing strategies that will win our customers more business in the long run - it makes all the work on design and development worthwhile.

Friday is a good day for admin and accounts... so, I am heading off to walk the dog instead. A good walk during the day clears my head and gives me a breather before I tackle the larger challenges of running a digital agency. Good news... we won another pitch today, so all steam ahead with a new Financial Services website and branding project 🙂

Today is another Joint Venture introduction via a local marketing agency. We are collaborating on a new website with a superb agency in Marlow to build the website for a fast growing telemarketing business. We really like working with agencies as it gives the client a complete service while allowing us to communicate directly with the client.

A trip to Portsmouth today to meet a tele-marketing agency. Boy that is a different world. They even had a bell to ring whenever they made a sale... I'm just glad I work where I do - doing what I do. To brighten things a little, here is a picture of Charlie at the dog groomers. How much is that doggy in the window?

Briefed our favourite Australian developer on the project to lift and shift a client's hosting to our platform. This includes the creation of both Staging and Development environments and the import of over 60,000 products in Woo-Commerce without a hitch. It will be about 10 days work to complete - but will result in a more secure WooCommerce that performs much more quickly.

Today's focus was entirely on a proposal and design ideas for our Manufacturing Automation client. We don't normally provide a branding and website design within a proposal, but we are so excited by this project that we couldn't help ourselves.

Arrived back at the office after the Christmas break feeling refreshed and alert (well, sort of). Went through some Jira updates that the team have been working on - then dived straight into a new proposal for a leading Manufacturing Automation firm. Exciting stuff!
