We are seeking a Test Analyst to help develop and execute testing for websites and web applications during all phases of our development life cycle.

Areas of Responsibility: 

  • Analyse project documentation to ensure a thorough understanding of the clients business and technical requirements. These may include business outcomes, functional specifications, process flow diagrams and use cases, produced at varying levels of formality dependant on risk and complexity
  • Liaise with Project Managers and Developers to create suitable test plans and test cases for multiple areas of development
  • Identify valid test conditions then design and author relevant Test Scenarios and Test Cases which will effectively exercise the project to ensure code created by our developers meets the overall requirements without errors
  • Conduct automated and manual tests, providing objective feedback to the development team
  • Identify and record bugs, tracking them through to resolution
  • Retesting defects when they are re-submitted into the test environment and provide sign-off or remedial action recommendations
  • Supporting the team in execution of UAT activities
  • Contributing to the establishment and implementation of effective practice and procedures for website and web-app testing and quality assurance
  • Building and maintaining healthy relationships with key partners including; the client team, project managers and developers.

Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications Required:

  • At least 2 years’ commercial web testing or software testing with strong understanding of the tools, techniques and process involved
  • Experience using automated testing tools such as Selenium or similar
  • ISEB Foundation in Software testing qualification would be a bonus.
